“This once-in-a-lifetime journey offers discerning travellers the rare opportunity to explore the pristine wilderness of the Svalbard Archipelago,” COMO said. Both voyages combine COMO’s hallmark elements — COMO Shambhala wellness, COMO Cuisine and its exceptional service — with the dramatic, icy beauty of the Arctic. Two distinct expeditions cater to different seasonal highlights. The first voyage, entitled The Arctic Awakens, will run from 13 to 23 May 2026, offering an early-season perspective on the Arctic, described as a time of “endless light and icy grandeur”. Guests can expect to witness polar bears on sea ice, walruses resting on drifting floes, and seabird colonies in full activity — all under the surreal glow of the midnight sun. COMO highlighted this journey as “ideal for those seeking the Arctic in its rawest, most elemental form.”The second voyage, The Arctic’s Final Glow, will take place from 13 to 24 September 2026, revealing “a softer, more colourful side of the polar north,” as autumn transforms the tundra and wildlife activity shifts. With receding sea ice, longer shore landings are possible. Guests may see breaching whales, roaming reindeer and Arctic foxes, and the Northern Lights.Key highlights of both voyages include immersive Arctic safaris, guided excursions, onboard lectures and photography workshops. Guests will also enjoy wellness treatments from expert “bodyworker” Matteo Pasquali and “East-meets-West fusion” dishes crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The 10-night May expedition starts at £23,000 for single occupancy or £39,000 for double occupancy. Both journeys include a pre-expedition night in Longyearbyen. Bookings open on 25 August 2025.
