A trio of commemorative voyages will make up the newly announced Farewell Season of Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ beloved ship, Seven Seas Navigator, ahead of its transfer to residential cruise start-up Crescent Seas.The three sailings will take place from August through to October 2026, marking the end of the ship’s long history with the cruise line. The final voyage will also mark the retirement of Cruise Director Ray Solaire after five decades at sea.“From the inaugural voyage in 1999, Seven Seas Navigator has embodied the timeless luxury and personalised service that defines Regent Seven Seas Cruises,” Chief Luxury Officer Jason Montague said.
“As we celebrate her remarkable journey, we are equally proud to honor Ray Solaire, a treasured member of the Regent family, whose legacy will sail on for both guests and crew.”
The Farewell Season will feature nostalgic onboard celebrations, guest appearances, gala dinners, themed trivia, memorabilia auctions and more. It will start with Iberian Indulgence on 12 August 2026 – a 12-night Epicurean Spotlight Voyage hosted by Regent’s culinary leadership. Then, on 24 August 2026, Miro to Michelangelo will reunite iconic Regent figures like Captain John McNeil, General Manager Davor Josipovic, and Founding President Mark Conroy.
The program will culminate in A Mythical Sojourn, a 14-night final voyage from Istanbul to Rome on 2 October 2026, hosted by Regent’s Chief Commercial Officer Wes D’Silva.Meanwhile, Solaire shared that Seven Seas Navigator holds a “special place” in his heart, making it the perfect venue for his send-off.
“More than just a ship, Seven Seas Navigator is home to countless memories and lifelong friends. I can’t think of a better goodbye than to celebrate this chapter alongside our wonderful team and loyal guests who’ve made the journey so meaningful,” he said.
Known for his humor and warmth, Solaire has been with Regent since 2007, following a long career in entertainment spanning stage, screen and sea. His final appearance will be shared with Olivia Marquis during the last voyage, creating “a heartfelt reunion of two fan favorites.”Refurbished in 2019, the all-suite Seven Seas Navigator hosts 496 guests and features Italian marble, crystal chandeliers and fine dining.
