Just about a week out from unveiling its fourth ship, Virgin Voyages has shared several new spaces and features of Brilliant Lady. The design of the ship—which will make its inaugural sailing on 5 September from New York—centres “on bringing people together in beautiful spaces.”Brilliant Lady will sail across North America, from New York to New England and Canada, throughout the Caribbean, up the West Coast and, finally, to Alaska. Guests on these sailings can expect quiet moments in Glacier Bay and exploring local culture in Juneau.

Among the new and updates spaces onboard, however, are:

The Roundabout

The Roundabout serves as the heart of Brilliant Lady. Travellers can expect navy banquettes and jewel-toned seating with wood accents. The hidden compass will be illuminated in blues and purples, a nod to Alaska’s “twilight magic.”

Draught Haus

Brilliant Lady’s Draught Haus has been reimagined as a social anchor. Still home to a craft brew selection, Draught Haus expands with barista-made coffees and a full bar, including cocktails on tap and wine and bubbles made for sharing.
Brilliant Lady Athletic Club

The Athletic Club

Virgin removed an entire wall to create an uninterrupted glass canvas facing the stern. Circular daybeds now face outward so friends can witness glacier calving, spot whales as a group and watch Northern Lights while wrapped in cozy throws.

Rojo by Razzle Dazzle

The evolution of Rojo celebrates Spain’s convivial culture. Here, the dedicated lounge area intends to capture the “Spanish art of lingering” through tapas-style sharing plates and intimate seating clusters.
Brilliant Lady Sea Terrace (Slightly) Smaller Balcony

Sea Terraces

When space became precious, Virgin got creative with connection, the cruise line said in a press release. The reimagined Sea Terrace (Slightly) Smaller Balconies will now offer two red hammock chairs instead of one—”because the best views are meant to be shared.”
