Aurora Expeditions has appointed Eric Andrews as its new Director of Sales, Southwestern USA, based in Florida.Andrews is well-known in the expedition space, serving more than 10 years with Galapagos Islands’ based Quasar Expeditions in various roles, pre and post-pandemic.For more than nine-years, Andrews was an Account Manager and Customer Service Liaison – based in Quito, Ecuador – roles that brought him to Australia to promote the small ship operation. Other titles he held with Quasar include Dive Master/Guide, Cruise Director and Tour Leader. Since August 2022, Andrews has held the position of Expedition Designer, based in Florida. During the COVID pandemic, he joined Norwegian Cruise Line as a Personal Cruise Consultant, also based out of Florida.

In his new capacity with Aurora Expeditions, Andrews is tasked with driving revenue growth and establishing new trade partner relationships in the US southwest.“I’m thrilled and proud to be joining a company that matches my love for the ocean, nature, adventure and, most importantly, a commitment to sustainability,” Andrews said of his appointment. “It is part of my personal mission to embed sustainable practices into my everyday life, so this role is the perfect fit for me.”David Tanguay, Aurora Expedition’s head of Global Sales based in Toronto, said Andrews’ “extensive industry experience and sales acumen but also for his passion for expedition travel and depth of knowledge in the areas that are integral to Aurora’s brand identity.”“We are confident that Eric will contribute to meaningful growth for our business,” Tanguay added.
