Acclaimed British chef Joseph Rawlins will join Golden Eagle Danube Express for an exclusive journey from Istanbul to Paris this September which promises travellers a unique culinary experience.Golden Eagle Luxury Trains confirmed that the journey, departing on 5 September, would feature an elevated focus on food and wine as it travels through six European countries.“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Joseph Rawlins… for this special culinary adventure,” Golden Eagle Managing Director Natasha Baker said. “His passion and expertise in French cuisine will bring a distinctive elegance to our existing dining experiences.

As a family-owned business, we’re proud to support like-minded local artisans.”Rawlins, Head Chef and owner of La Popote restaurant, is a graduate of Gordon Ramsay’s Tante Marie Culinary Academy and holder of a Cordon Bleu Diploma, He brings with him years of experience, including seven years in Paris under the mentorship of Guillaume Delage, protégé of legendary chef Pierre Gagnaire.Celebrated for his commitment to seasonal produce, Rawlins states that his philosophy is centered around ingredients that “taste like they should.”
Onboard the train, he will present exclusive menus that reflect “classic French sophistication with the vibrant flavours of local European produce.”The Istanbul to Paris journey, which launched earlier this year, includes immersive food and wine experiences such as a private tour and tasting at a family-owned champagne house in France’s Champagne region. The adventure culminates with a grand arrival into Paris.Guests will also enjoy a dessert masterclass led by Golden Eagle’s Head Pastry Chef, Rebeka Krupa. During the session, guests will “don their apron” and learn the secrets behind Krupa’s stunning dessert creations — and how to recreate them at home.
