Langham Hospitality Group will add a local flavour to its list of international ‘Langham Luminaires’ – the global brand campaign for The Langham Hotels and Resorts that was launched in January 2025.Langham’s “Your Story. Our Legacy” campaign celebrates leading artists, architects, athletes, writers, chefs, designers and other cultural icons who have stayed and gathered at The Langham’s properties across the world and, in doing so, helping to form the brand’s identity.Among the already named Luminaires are: World Champion Swimmer, Steve Wang Shun; Champion Fencer, Edgar Cheung-Kalong; Oscar De La Renta & Monse, Laura Kim & Fernando Garcia; Photographer, Douglas Friedman; Architect, Dirk Lohan; Michelin-Starred chef, Chef Michel Roux JR; Violinist, Joshua Bell; and Culinary Tastemaker, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham.

In Sydney last week during a week-long mission to Australia, Shelley Tso, Global Head of Marketing & Communications, Langham Hospitality Group said the campaign aspires to bring The Langham’s rich 160-year brand heritage to the fore.“The new Langham is a lot more fun, more contemporary, it’s sexier and more relevant to today,” Tso said.The Hong Kong local revealed The Langham’s André Jacques, Regional Director of Marketing, Pacific, Langham + Director of Sales for The Langham, Melbourne had been tasked with identifying a Luminarie from the Pacific. “I think all of you will be surprised and love the choice that Andreas has made,” Tso said.Details on who the Pacific Langham Luminaire will be revealed soon.Tso also provided an update on the latest projects for The Langham around the world, which include;
  • The Langham, Diriyah in Saudi Arabia, 15 minutes from downtown Riyadh. Slated to open in 2029, the property will be located on what is billed as The Champs-Élysées of Saudi, and will be the only luxury hotel directly connected to the Royal Opera House.
  • The Langham, Venice in Italy, earmarked to debut in the first half of 2027. The 138 room and suite luxury hotel is located on Murano Island, a short boat ride from the main island of Venice and one of only a handful of Venetian hotels to have a swimming pool.
  • The Langham, Bangkok, expected to open in Q4 2026, is positioned on the Chao Praya River, and combines the Thai capital’s historic Customs House building and a modern structure with 78-rooms and suites.
  • and, the most recent announcement in this region, The Langham, Kuala Lumpur — 5-minutes away from the Petronas Twin Towers.
Tso said aside from newbuilds, Langham was investing its its existing portfolio. The Langham, Huntington, Pasadena in Los Angeles is undergoing an extensive renovation. Originally built in 1907 by a railway tycoon, the luxury property’s 23 acres of manicured gardens has been re-envisioned, including orange trees, to position the hotel as the ‘New Californian Icon’.
