Travel agents in Sydney were inspired on Wednesday 7 December by tales of the Lone Star State at the final city stop on Texas Tourism‘s 2016 Australia/New Zealand Roadshow.

Eighty people attended the event at the Australian Museum where they enjoyed drinks and canapes while mingling with Texan tourism partners and learning about the different characteristics of Texas’ seven regions.

Industry partners shared Texas travel advice and insights before the crowd were invited to take part in an interactive quiz session designed to educate the industry on the unique selling points of the US State’s tourism offering through an entertaining format.

Representatives included Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau; Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau; Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau; Fredericksburg Convention & Visitor Bureau; Houston Airport System; Visit Houston; Visit San Antonio; Wildcatter Ranch/Texas Holiday Travel.

Following a week of activity across New Zealand and Australia, the roadshow concluded on Thursday 8 December with a workshop event with Sydney wholesalers.
