2017 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards

 On 24 February 2017, the who’s who of the tourism industry flocked to Darwin for the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards. Signature Media was among the crowd at the gala event as a premium sponsor of the event and was assigned the luxury accommodation category, which was won this year by Tasmania’s Saffire Freycinet is a luxury hotel that offers a range of elegant accommodation including luxury suites, signature suites and private pavilions.

Saffire Freycinet is located mid-way along the Tasmanian east coast, a two-hour-and-15-minute drive from Hobart and a two-hour drive from Launceston. Australia’s major airlines conduct daily flights into Hobart and Launceston from most capital cities.

The Freycinet Peninsula took over 400 million years to form into two massive, eroded blocks of granite, now known as the Hazards mountains and Mt Graham/Mt Freycinet.
