Stansted-Airport-2

An £8 million upgrade of its Satellite One departure gate area is the next stage of expansion for London Stansted airport. The aim of all new development is to improve the passenger experience within the airport by upgrading and rejuvenating the areas that are most valued by passengers.

This upgrade is part of a wider £260 million investment programme. The multi-million pound upgrade of Satellite One will not only make the area sleek, modern and contemporary, but provide enhanced facilities such as lifestyle seating, fully refurbished toilets, free charging points and improved Wi-Fi.

Design plans for the airport’s new Escape Lounge have also been unveiled, with development to commence shortly.

The new security area (that has doubled in size) opened last year, along with phase one of the new departure lounge. Its flagship entrance is paired impressively with the biggest walk-through World Duty Free Store in the World Duty Free Group.
