Tourism Australia and Visit Victoria showcased Australian food and wine at Los Angeles’ largest food festival last weekend, the Los Angeles Times Foodbowl.Chef Ben Shewry of Attica joined Curtis Stone at his LA butcher shop and restaurant Gwen on Saturday for a Fireside Chat and Dinner.Both Friends of Australia, the chefs hosted a multi-course meal with wine pairings and shared stories about Aussie culture and food.The following day, Chef Ben Shewry returned for ‘Attica Invades Everson Royce Bar’, a party celebrating Australian food, beer, cocktails and wine.Tourism Australia is also partnering with the LA Times to host their first Reader Expeditions with American food critic Jonathan Gold to Australia.In 2017, the USA was Australia’s third largest inbound market for visitor arrivals, the second largest market for total visitor spend and fourth for visitor nights.
