Pont de Pierre, Bordeaux

This cycling season Scenic will join Gabriel Gaté for the second year running as he traces the 21 stages of the Tour de France. The luxury tour operator is the primary sponsor of Taste Le Tour with Gabriel Gaté, part of SBS’s coverage of the 2015 Tour de France.

French chef Gabriel Gaté embarks on a gastronomic journey through the Netherlands and France alongside contestants of the famed bicycle race, learning about the local produce and preparing sumptuous French cuisine along the way.

Michelle Black, GM Sales and Marketing commented on the sponsorship, “Last year’s sponsorship of Taste le Tour was hugely successful in driving awareness of our expansion into Bordeaux. With 40% of our river cruise sales now coming out of France, it continues to be a popular destination for our guests so this year’s Taste Le Tour is again a perfect vehicle to promote the breathtaking scenery and delicious food and wine our guests can experience on a river cruise with us.”

Viewers also have the opportunity to win a luxury 11 day Bordeaux river cruise for two including return flights to France worth $22,000, with a consumer promotion running throughout the Tour de France coverage.

Taste Le Tour with Gabriel Gaté runs every night in SBS’s coverage of the 2015 Tour de France, which starts Saturday 4 July 9.30pm AEST on SBS ONE and continues nightly until Monday 27 July (individual start times vary).

To view Gabriel’s new recipes, plus guides to French wine and cheese, and to find out additional details about the competition visit the SBS website.
