Luxury Escapes has bolstered its touring program via a new partnership with The Travel Corporation. Effective from today, Luxury Escapes will offer travellers in Australia and the USA luxury coach holidays with The Travel Corporation’s brands including Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, AAT Kings and Inspiring Journeys. Other brands include Trafalgar, and in the future, Costsaver and Contiki will be available on Cudo, Deals, Scoopon and Treat Me platforms.

Global tourism industry visionary, entrepreneur and philanthropist Stanley S. Tollman, founder and chairman of The Travel Corporation (TTC), the highly successful, family-owned, international travel group encompassing more than 40 award-winning brands including Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Contiki Holidays, AAT Kings, Adventure World Travel, Red Carnation Hotels and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, and pioneer of the sustainable travel movement through the not-for-profit TreadRight Foundation, has died in the South of France following a battle with cancer. He was 91.

The Travel Corporation has announced it will be pausing all Australian group touring departures across its portfolio of brands until 1 December 2021. The decision comes in response to continued uncertainty surrounding domestic borders and travel limitations due to COVID-19.

Insight Vacations has rolled out its first Australia and New Zealand ‘Local Escapes’ collection geared towards the domestic and trans-Tasman travel resurgence in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

The post-COVID-19 recovery phase has led to a surge in interest for private small group touring in Australia and New Zealand for AAT Kings Group Company, says the company’s CEO Matthew Cameron-Smith.

The Travel Corporation has promoted Matthew Cameron-Smith to CEO of the AAT Kings Group Company. With over 100 years’ experience, the AAT Kings Group are the largest and land-based touring operator in Australia and New Zealand. Their brands are AAT Kings, Inspiring Journeys, SEIT, Down Under Tours and Aussie Adventures; and includes the inbound ground handling services for sister companies Trafalgar and Insight Vacations, Costsaver and Luxury Gold in Australia and New Zealand.

Inspiring Journeys has developed a new itinerary in partnership with Ultimate Winery Experiences to showcase the art of viticulture in South Australia. The five-day Flavours of South Australia trip has been designed to highlight the best of the Barossa, Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale wine regions. The journey has been crafted to connect travellers with the makers, growers and passionate owners of South Australia’s unique food scene and supporting Tourism Australia’s successful Ultimate Winery Experiences of Australia initiative.
