We have all been hearing on the news of the financial problems Sri Lanka is facing and of the protests. In June, I spent some time with the Authenticities team in Sri Lanka.

In recent weeks, Sri Lankans have taken to the streets by storm, protesting against the high cost of living and scarcity of essentials.

While much effort has gone into alleviating the cataclysmic reality staring at us in the face, still it is the need of the hour for us to understand and acknowledge the harsh realities caused by human activities that hold the fate of our world on a knife’s edge.

The year 2020 has been taken by storm with the deadly COVID-19 virus. Like everything in life, this too will eventually pass. Once the world has put this behind us, it will again be the time to travel, explore and relax.
