Add one more travel segment that Forbes Travel Guide (“FTG”) is now affording its star rating: river cruises.

Ben Angell, Vice President & Managing Director of Norwegian Cruise Line APAC, has been elected as the new Chairman of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia following the association’s annual general meeting in Sydney this week.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s President and CEO Harry Sommer says comments made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the past week has been both encouraging and discouraging.

“Strategic organisational enhancements” for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd’s Asia Pacific division have been announced, with Ben Angell elevated to the position of Vice President and Managing Director NCL APAC for the company’s contemporary brand, Norwegian Cruise Line.
