Marriott International will once again raise the Ritz-Carlton flag in Cancun with a new 131-key luxury hotel slated to debut in Punta Nizuc in 2027. The brand exited the Mexican tourist hub in late August 2022 when the Ritz-Carlton Cancun changed hands with Kempinski Hotels.

Kempinski Hotels is nudging closer to the US market having inked a deal to take over the management of the five-star Ritz-Carlton Cancun.

SHA Wellness Clinic, the internationally recognised pioneer of integrated medical and holistic wellness, has announced ambitious expansion plans to take its award-winning SHA concept worldwide, with the opening of two new properties on different continents within the next three years. Building on the success of the original clinic in Spain, SHA Mexico will open in 2021 as the first serious global wellness brand to open in Latin America.
