The Destination HQ dynamic duo of Kate Traynor and Sophie Anderson are putting the finishing touches on the Melbourne agency’s first ever expedition ship charter, departing Darwin next week. 

Virtuoso has invited Coral Expeditions to expand its relationship with the luxury travel network further afield.

Coral Expeditions has commenced its first Western Australian voyages of the 2022 season with dual departures to the Kimberley from Fremantle and Broome. Coral Adventurer set sail from Fremantle on a 12-night exploration of the Abrolhos and Coral Coast, while Coral Geographer departed Broome on a 10-night Kimberley voyage on Wednesday [23 March 2022].

Coral Expeditions will offer a full Australian domestic sailing schedule in 2022. This includes extended sailing dates in the Kimberley due to popular demand.

Coral Expeditions will return to its originally planned one-way voyages to and from Darwin to the Kimberley following a COVID-19 policy update by the Northern Territory Government late last week.

Coral Expeditions welcomed its newest bluewater expedition vessel to its fleet with an intimate ceremony in Cairns late last month. A sister-ship to Coral Adventurer, Coral Geographer has the same specialised design for rugged extended expeditions to remote areas.

Coral Expeditions has shelved port calls at Darwin for the Immediate future from its Australian program in response to new legislation on expedition cruising in the Northern Territory that was revealed late last week.

Coral Expeditions has welcomed a second new ship to its fleet in two years, with the arrival of Coral Geographer to the Australian cruise line’s headquarters in Cairns on Friday 12 March 2021.

Coral Expeditions has revealed three new itineraries as part of the maiden voyage series of the new-build Coral Geographer during February, March and April 2021. Sailings will explore Zanzibar, Madagascar and Cocos and Christmas Islands.

Coral Expeditions is taking its cruises to new coastlines in 2021. The release of the ‘Australia’s Coastal Wilderness’ 2021 domestic cruise season explores Cape York, Arnhem Land, the Torres Strait, the Ningaloo reef and the remote islands of Western Australia.

Australian expedition cruise line, Coral Expeditions, has confirmed a fifth ship is currently under construction at the VARD Shipyard and on track for delivery in December 2020. Coral Geographer will be a sister-ship to Coral Adventurer which launched recently. The new ship will initially sail the waters of the Indian Ocean, to destinations including the Maldives, Sri Lanka and Mauritius.
