The highly anticipated opening of W Sydney has arrived with the long-awaited launch of the property in Darling Harbour this week.Located within The Ribbon and designed by Australian architectural firm, Hassell, W Sydney is the virtual centrepiece to the Darling Harbour precinct, rising between two major arterial motorways of the Harbour city.

W Hotels has flagged an early Q4 2023 opening date for the highly anticipated re-entry of the W Sydney to the Darling Harbour precinct.

Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour has been accepted into Virtuoso’s exclusive portfolio of luxury travel partners, comprised of more than 1,700 preferred suppliers in 100 countries.

Rumours of the planned W Sydney – known as The Ribbon Hotel Development – have been circulating for a number of years, but now appear more certain with the property being listed on the W Hotels Worldwide global website directory.
