Disney Cruise Line marked a significant construction milestone at the Meyer Werft shipyard at Papenburg, Germany on 8 April 2021 with a traditional keel-laying ceremony of the Disney Wish, the first of three new ships in the line’s fleet expansion.

Disney Cruise Line has pushed back the originally planned launch date of its first of three new ships from late 2021 to early 2022. The vessels are being built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. The second ship is also expected to be delivered in 2022 and the third in 2023.
