W Hotels has just opened its first all-inclusive hotel. Developed in partnership with Grupo Puntacana and MAC Hotels, W Punta Cana, Adult All-Inclusive marks “a significant milestone” for the brand as it opens in doors in the Dominican Republic.

Four Seasons has confirmed plans for a new beachfront resort at Playa Esmeralda in northeastern Dominican Republic. Set on 24 hectares, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia will be a 95 room and suite resort, operating alongside 25 private residences.

Club Med has opened its first-ever Exclusive Collection resort in the Americas, Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda. Located on an unspoiled beach in Miches, Dominican Republic, this 38-hectare resort is the first major site to open within the region.

Marriott International has signed management contracts with hotel developers who plan to build five new all-inclusive resorts, including a resort destination dubbed “NIA” that will be home to four resorts. The developers are investing over US$800 million and demonstrating confidence in Marriott International’s scale, loyalty platform and operational expertise. The resorts are expected to open between 2022 and 2025.

H10 Hotels opens its new Ocean El Faro five-star resort in the Dominican Republic, located in Punta Cana on the magnificent beach of Uvero Alto with crystal-clear waters.
