Dream Cruises has pulled the deployment of Explorer Dream in Oceania waters for the upcoming summer, between October 2020 and February 2021. The cruise line cited “ongoing concerns” surrounding the coronavirus pandemic for the decision to withdraw its upcoming Australia and New Zealand season.

Dream Cruises has unveiled more details and renderings of its next new ship, Global Dream, which is slated to debut early in 2021.

As Explorer Dream’s inaugural Australia and New Zealand season comes to a close, Dream Cruises has confirmed details of the ship’s return deployment from October 2020 to February 2021.

Genting Cruise Line held a keel-laying ceremony for the second Global Class ship for Dream Cruises last week at MV Werften in Rostock, Germany.

Dream Cruises is one of the newest cruise lines to operate in the Australian market, deploying its newest ship Explorer Dream to local waters in October. The cruise line is a division of Genting Cruise Lines, which also owns the luxury brand Crystal Cruises.

Genting Cruise Lines has revealed the name of its first of two Global Class ships as Global Dream. Building on the successful debuts of Genting Dream, World Dream and Explorer Dream, the Global Class vessel – Global Dream – will enter into service in early 2021. It will be the largest cruise ship to homeport in the Asia Pacific.

A group of 60 guests were treated to lunch with the team from Dream Cruises and internationally-acclaimed Australian chef Mark Best this week. Sydney harbour provided a sparkling backdrop for the lunch event held at the Quayside Room of the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia.

Dream Cruises recently hosted a group from Australia and New Zealand on a five-night cruise from Singapore onboard Genting Dream. The itinerary included visits to Pulau Redang (Malaysia), Sihanoukville (Cambodia) and Laem Chabang (Bangkok).

Genting Cruise Lines welcomed the third member of its Dream Cruises fleet with the christening and inaugural homeport deployment of Explorer Dream in Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal.

Dream Cruises has unveiled the concept and design behind the new artwork that will adorn the hull of its newest family member, the 75,338-gross-ton, 1,870-passenger Explorer Dream, which is currently undergoing a comprehensive upgrade before her launch later this month.

Dream Cruises has responded to industry and consumer demand by releasing a dedicated series of departures from Brisbane to its 2019 deployment in Australia and New Zealand, scheduled for October 2019.
