Emerald Cruises’ second superyacht, Emerald Sakara, was christened by Kelly Craighead, President and CEO of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) in San Juan, Puerto Rico last weekend.

Emerald Cruises has named Kelly Craighead, President and CEO of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) as godmother of Emerald Sakara, the line’s second luxury yacht, due to launch in August. The naming ceremony will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 2 December 2023.

Emerald Cruises will add the Caribbean and Central America to its luxury yacht cruising destination portfolio from late next year.

Emerald Cruises has taken delivery of Emerald Azzurra, the first of the brand’s two superyachts. Departing Ha Long Shipyard in Vietnam this week, the 100-guest luxury yacht is headed to Aqaba, Jordan, where it will welcome guests onboard its inaugural sailing on 11 March 2022.

Emerald Cruises has confirmed it is launching a second luxury superyacht. Work on the new Emerald Sakara, a sister ship to Emerald Azzurra, is already underway and earmarked for debut in early 2023. The 110-metre yacht will begin operation in a new destination for Emerald Cruises – the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean.
