The northern hemisphere spring 2026 will see the opening of Borgo Pignano Florence, a hotel set within a 15th century Florentine villa.

W Hotels has announced the opening of W Florence, housed in the former Grand Hotel Majestic. W Florence follows the recently unveiled W Prague, W Budapest and the brand’s first Italian property, W Rome, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to Europe.

Capella Hotels and Resorts will make its European debut with the launch of Capella Florence in 2027, the company’s President Cristiano Rinaldi has confirmed.

Leeu Collection has appointed Auberge Resorts Collection to manage Collegio Alla Querce (College at the Oaks) in Florence, Italy. The historic 16th-century property, acquired by Leeu Collection in 2017, has its own chapel and theatre and was previously used as a boarding school and hotel.
