Goldman Travel Group

Goldman Travel Group this afternoon confirmed it will acquire an initial 50% stake in fellow Virtuoso agency Main Beach Travel on Queensland’s Gold Coast and will assume full ownership of the business after three years.

In June, Goldman Group celebrated it 10-year milestone of having acquired Melbourne-based retail agency, Travelcall. That acquisition in 2013 laid the foundation for the previously corporate-focused Goldmans to become one of Australia’s most successful travel agency groups.

Last week, Goldman Group team members came together with supplier partners and industry colleagues to celebrate travel industry legend Tom Goldman’s 60 years in the travel business.

The surprise announcement by Western Australia that it would open its hard borders to residents of New South Wales and Victoria from next week, coupled with the reopening of the Queensland/NSW border earlier this week (see more below), has been applauded by travel groups.

Australian corporate travel specialists Goldman Travel Corporation has been named as the 2019 Top Production agency for the Virtuoso network in Asia Pacific.

The annual Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas last week saw plenty of awards and accolades handed out. Among the recipients from Australia was the Goldman Travel Corporation.

Global luxury travel network Virtuoso has revealed the year’s most exceptional travel advisors, agencies and partners: the winners of the celebrated Virtuoso Awards. Among the winners was Brent Wallace, from SmartFlyer Australia (a division of Goldman Travel Corporation).

Luxury travel experts, Goldman Travel Group, took home the Top Virtuoso Agency Production (Asia Pacific) award at the 30th annual Virtuoso Travel Week Awards. It’s the fourth consecutive year Goldman has claimed the gong.
