Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is inviting guests to embark on voyages that span the Indian Ocean, Arctic North and Antarctica. The sailings will operate aboard the line’s luxury ships, EUROPA and the EUROPA 2, and the expedition vessels, HANSEATIC nature, HANSEATIC inspiration and the HANSEATIC spirit.

The latest edition of the Insight Guide Cruising & Cruise Ships (formerly Berlitz Cruise Guide) has been published, with more than 340 ships evaluated. Testers gave all five of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ luxury and expedition ships top marks for the second year in a row.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises will once again be offering cruises to Scandinavia in the far north this European winter. The newest member of the fleet, HANSEATIC spirit, will not be going to Antarctica as originally planned but will instead offer expedition cruises to Norway, Sweden and Finland.

Julian Pfitzner, CEO of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is leaving the company, passing the baton onto his colleague Isolde Susset. Pfitzner took over operational management of the luxury and expedition cruise operator in December 2020. At his own request, he is handing over the helm of the five luxury and expedition ships to Susset, who has shaped the expedition segment at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises for more than two decades.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises achieved the highest scores in Insight Guides Cruising & Cruise Ships, formerly known as Berlitz Guide to Cruising and Cruise Ships, released this month. A total of 341 ships were evaluated in the process, and all five luxury and expedition ships of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises received the highest scores. They were the only ships in the world to be awarded five stars by Insight Guides. This achievement earns Hapag-Lloyd Cruises the coveted title of ‘Best Fleet Worldwide.’

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has released its new cruises for the 2024/2025 season before the launch of its main catalogs for the first time ever.
