Karma Group has welcomed new additions to its resort portfolio in both Vietnam and London.

Karma Group has amassed a reputation for the luxury amenities available at its resorts, but just as important is hotel group’s dedication to opulence is its focus on wellbeing. Health and wellness remain integral to Karma Group, particularly across its three Indonesian resorts where a burgeoning array of healing treatments continue to grow on offer via Karma Spa.

Karma Group has revealed its commitment to sustainability throughout its range of resorts with a new green initiative. Karma have already based their restaurants’ menus around the use of seasonal ingredients, but the resort recently undertook a review of its sustainability initiatives and was disappointed by the excess plastic on site. In an effort to drastically reduce this number, the Karma team has unveiled a plan to minimise the use of plastic across the resort group.

Karma Group has announced the addition of Karma Chang in Chiang Mai to its portfolio of Karma Retreats in some of the world’s most spectacular locations, giving guests the opportunity to experience Thailand’s spiritual heart and old-world charm.

LATTE talks with John Spence, the Chairman and CEO of Karma Group, a business comprised of Karma Resorts, Karma Retreats, Karma Royal, Karma Estates, Karma Beach, as well as Karma Spa.LATTE spent time earlier this year to hear about Spence’s history and how he was roped into the hotel business, philosophy behind the brand – which now comprises a stable of 24 properties around the globe – and we quiz him on his top three. He tells about Karma’s plan to offer island hopping, which Spence refers to as “Surf & Turf”, in the Caribbean, and we also discover that he’s a Nespresso freak!
