Kempinski plans to eliminate the use of all plastic room keys by 2026, as the ultra-luxury hospitality brand progresses its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy.

Kempinski Hotels is adding another property in Bali, revealing plans this week for an all-new hotel in Ubud. The Apurva Kempinski Ubud, Bali will be a hilltop hideaway, near the rice terraces and coffee plantations of Tegalang village.

Kempinski Hotels has announced a new luxury project in Makkah, Saudi Arabia with the partnering company, Umm Al Qura for Development and Construction Company (UAQ). The property will entail a luxury hotel and will be the flagship edifice on King Abdul Aziz Road, an envisaged urban lifestyle hub. The addition of Kempinski Hotel Makkah to the Kempinski portfolio is part of the company’s continued expansion into the Middle East markets, where the brand enjoys already a strong reputation.

The long-awaited Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica will open its doors to guests and exclusive clientele on the 14 October 2019.

Kempinski Hotels has tapped Martin R. Smura to be the hotelier’s Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July 2019.
