Marriott International will bring its Ritz-Carlton brand to Kerala with the announcement of The Ritz-Carlton Vaikom Island, scheduled to open in 2029.

The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has opened its second hotel in Kerala, The Leela Ashtamudi, A Raviz Hotel. The new addition joins The Leela Kovalam, A Raviz Hotel, and builds on the brand’s presence in the coastal state with the two resorts offering very distinctive and unique backwater and beach experiences, completing the much sought-after and serenely beautiful Kerala itinerary. Both additions were previously flagged by LATTE in early 2022.

The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts have inked a new management deal for two properties in South India, The Leela Kovalam, a Raviz Hotel and The Leela Ashtamudi, a Raviz Hotel in Kerala. The Leela Kovalam, a Raviz Hotel returns to The Leela portfolio after three years while The Leela Ashtamudi, a Raviz Hotel is a new addition to the brand portfolio.
