Journey Beyond has today welcomed its very first guests to stay wild at South Australia’s newest premium hotel, and the world’s largest open-range safar park, Monarto Safari Resort.

Bookings have opened for Monarto Safari Resort in South Australia’s Murraylands which will officially open on 28 May 2025 as part of the Journey Beyond portfolio.

South Australia’s Monarto Zoo will be converted into the largest safari experience outside of Africa, housing a new five-star resort and luxe-glamping facilities. The expansion sees the zoo rebranded as Monarto Safari Park, effective immediately, and will also include new experiences, a restaurant and function centres.

Add one more travel segment that Forbes Travel Guide (“FTG”) is now affording its star rating: river cruises.
