Banyan Group has added Montenegro’s Mamula Island—a hotel housed in a 19th-century fortress in Boka Bay—to its portfolio. The hotel, resides in a UNESCO World Heritage site, will go by Mamula Island by Banyan Tree and will undergo several updates at the conclusion of the season ahead of its 2026 reopening.

Adventures by Disney is offering new expeditions to the Adriatic Sea aboard PONANT’s Le Bougainville in 2024. The new Mediterranean destination will be complemented by additional opportunities to explore Antarctica, the Arctic and the Galapagos Islands.

Montenegro is already on the luxury travel map because of such resorts as Aman Sveti Stefan, and One&Only Portonovi, which offers Giorgio Locatelli food, Henri Chenot wellness, a marina and 500 metres of Adriatic coast.

One&Only has officially opened its first ultra-luxury property in Europe following the debut of One&Only Portonovi in Montenegro on 1 May 2021. The retreat was initially slated to welcome guests from July 2020, but postponed its launch due to the pandemic.

Kerzner International is launching a new lifestyle and hospitality hotel brand focused on fitness and wellbeing. SIRO (pronounced Sigh-Row), the brand will be “an immersive lifestyle destination, blending the boundaries between hospitality, fitness and wellness through a fresh perspective and energizing experiences,” Kerner said.
