An in-depth exploration of the Swiss and Bavarian Alps has been introduced to the touring program of Tauck for this year.The eight-day itinerary will immerse guests in the region’s rich and fascinating culture, and be highlighted by a performance of the traditional Passion Play in the alpine village of Oberammergau, Germany, where residents have been staging the epic performance depicting the final days of Jesus Christ since 1634. The 2020 staging of the play was postponed due to COVID, and is now rescheduled for this year.

Mandarin Oriental, Munich has is offering a “Once-in-a-Decade – Oberammergau Passion Play” luxury accommodation package for visitors to the passion play festival. The package, available from 14 May to 4 October 2020, includes round-trip festival limousine transfers.
