Cruising in French Polynesia has been suspended for two weeks, effective 23 August to 6 September 2021. The ruling, announced over the weekend, is a setback for Paul Gauguin Cruises which had intended to resume operation of Le Paul Gauguin this coming Saturday (28 April 2021) with a 14-night ‘Marquesas, Tuamotus & Society Islands’ voyage.

Aranui Cruises is discounting Aranui 5’s first two voyages of the year, departing on 6 and 22 February, 2020, with ocean view staterooms starting from $6,030* per person twin share (savings of $1,200 per couple) and royal suites available from $8,970* (savings of $1,900 per couple).

Air Tahiti Nui celebrated the delivery of the airline’s first 787-9 Dreamliner, via lease from ALC, last weekend. This is the first Boeing airplane to join the Tahitian airline, which plans to use the longest-range Dreamliner to replace its ageing Airbus A340s and connect its home base in the South Pacific with world capitals such as Paris, Tokyo and Los Angeles.
