Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge has completed a major property-wide renovation with a perfect combination of African luxury and the warmth of home elevating the lodge’s appeal without compromising its original vision of creating a ‘luxury home in the bush’.

Six months ago, Jacques Smit, Director of Marketing for Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve was in Australia on a sales mission from his base in South Africa, at a time when the industry was still finding its feet post-COVID.

Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve returned to Australia last week to reconnect with the travel industry and media to assure consumers they are ready to welcome Aussies back to their luxury lodges in the South African bush.

African ecotourism and conservation brand, Singita, is honing in on a number of new locations in Southern Africa to expand its ultra-luxury footprint and plug gaps for the brand’s ‘super safari’ offering.

With South Africa currently in lockdown, Sabi Sabi’s lodges are closed to guests. However, life in the bush goes on, with a small management team working hard to maintain the lodges, manage habitats and anti-poaching patrols while at the same time conduct morning and afternoon safaris for Sabi Sabi’s online marketing platforms.

Over the past twenty years, Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge has been lauded as a luxury safari lodge ahead of its time. The award-winning sanctuary recently unveiled interior changes to its existing suites. The vision from the Dakota Designs team was to seamlessly blend the architectural masterpiece into the surrounding environment by the use of skilfully selected materials and textures.
