Sea Cloud Cruises CEO & President, Mirell Reyes, believes the Australian market holds untapped potential for the brand, suggesting frontline luxury advisors should consider the “romance” of tall ship sailing.

Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic has chartered the 88-guest tall ship, Sea Cloud II, for seven sailings in May, August and September 2024. The move follows a similar charter of Sea Cloud in the Mediterranean this year.

The Yacht Portfolio, the maritime investment company which owns soon-to-launch The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, has entered into a letter of intent to acquire Sea Cloud Cruises following several months of discussions.

Sea Cloud Cruises has revealed it plans to resume operations on 17 March 2021 after its pandemic pause. The cruise company’s two vessels, Sea Cloud I and Sea Cloud II, will operate a series of round-trip voyages around the Canary Islands and Greek Islands through until May 2021, providing a buffer should further COVID-19 travel restrictions come into play.
