Japanese cruise newcomer Mitsui Ocean Cruises has appointed Cruise Traveller as its exclusive Australian representative, as demand for travel to Japan continues to soar.

MOL Cruises which operates the cruise brand MITSUI OCEAN CRUISES, yesterday marked the handover ceremony in collaboration with Seabourn, welcoming MITSUI OCEAN FUJI to the fleet.

Seabourn has confirmed details of Seabourn Odyssey’s final sailing with the luxury cruise line, a 22-day Farewell Voyage, departing on 2 September 2024, from Seattle, Washington to Yokohama, Japan.

Seabourn is looking ahead to the 2024 Alaska season for Seabourn Odyssey as she completes her final season with the ultra-luxury cruise line.

Seabourn has introduced a number of dining enhancements, including new recipes in The Restaurant and expanded sushi offerings aboard its ultra-luxury ships.

Seabourn has confirmed the sale of Seabourn Odyssey to Japanese shipping company, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. The luxury cruise line will continue to operate all published voyages of Seabourn Odyssey through 22 August 2024 under a charter arrangement, after which time the vessel will be delivered to MOL.

Seabourn has named Natalya Leahy as the ultra-luxury cruise line’s new President, succeeding Josh Leibowitz who is departing the brand to “pursue new opportunities”.

Seabourn has opened reservations for its 2024 Alaska, Canada and New England season, with 25 immersive voyages across the regions

Seabourn is counting down the days until its return to Australian waters, with Seabourn Odyssey now only a month away until its arrival for a summer Down Under. The 458-passenger ship is currently sailing across the South Pacific, having just passed through the Cook Islands and is now en route to Fiji.

Due to popular demand, Seabourn has extended Seabourn Odyssey’s deployment in Australia and New Zealand waters this coming season with a brand-new 12-day roundtrip Sydney sailing, departing 9 March 2023.

Seabourn has released a collection of new voyages in 2023 and 2034 to Arabia & India, Asia, South Pacific, Australia & New Zealand aboard Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Odyssey.

Seabourn has indicated full confidence in the rebound of Canada and Alaska’s cruise industry, unveiling plans to resume sailing in North America for the first time in two years. The ultra-luxury cruise line is intending to sail the coastline of British Columbia and New England’s waterways starting this northern summer and autumn.
