The King’s Birthday long weekend coincided with the local launch of Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts’ newest campaign at Shangri-La Sydney, Find Your Shangri-La, marked by an intimate media event hosted at Altitude restaurant on the hotel’s 36th floor on the evening of 12 June. Delivered via a five-course menu showcasing Australia’s finest produce through an international lens – with wine pairings – the event communicated key messaging effectively: your Shangri-La experience is unique as you are.

Shangri-La Group has welcomed a new addition with the opening of Shangri-La Jeddah, representing the luxury hotelier’s brand debut in Saudi Arabia. Situated in the exclusive Burj Assila, a 64-storey architectural icon and Jeddah’s tallest building – a soaring 260-metre-tall tower – Shangri-La Jeddah celebrates the brand’s Asian heritage while reflecting the local culture and environment. The hotel’s aesthetics pay homage to Shangri-La’s timeless style while elevating it to meet the evolving needs of modern travellers. Interiors draw on the three main elements of the brand’s new design ethos: Asian Sensibilities, Nature Inspired, and Spirit of Place.

Pippa Williamson, Senior Vice President, International Sales, Shangri-La International Hotel Management, and Jenny Williams, Assistant Vice President, Global Sales Sydney, hosted a Melbourne Cup lunch for Shangri-La Group partners at Altitude Restaurant at Shangri-La Sydney.

China World Hotel, Beijing this month unveiled 126 newly refurbished Horizon Club rooms and suites, after a renovation program that began in early 2016. The hotel is located in the heart of the China World Trade Centre, in the Beijing’s Central Business District.
