Solar Eclipse

Oceania Cruises has scheduled four additional 2026 solar eclipse sailings. The collection of once-in-a-lifetime voyages will see guests perfectly positioned to experience the phenomenon on 12 August 2026 off the shores of Ireland, Iceland, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.

Windstar Cruises has added a second solar eclipse cruise for 2026, this time aboard 148-guest Wind Spirit in the Mediterranean, after its first eclipse voyage, to take place in Iceland, sold out quickly.

Seabourn has unveiled two new Solar Eclipse cruises exploring Northern Europe and the Mediterranean in late summer 2026. On 12 August 2026, as the moon passes between Earth and the sun to create a total solar eclipse, both Seabourn Ovation and Seabourn Sojourn will be strategically aligned to grant guests a unique viewing opportunity of the rare spectacle. Guests’ eclipse viewing experience may change based on weather or cloud coverage.

Quark Expeditions has launched its 2021/2022 Antarctica program which will be the debut season in the White Continent for the polar expedition cruise specialist’s new ship, Ultramarine.

Aurora Expeditions has enlisted NASA astronomer Dr Michelle Thaller and NASA Engineer Dr Andrew Booth as special guests for the expedition company’s total solar eclipse voyage in December 2021.
