Two new retreats are set to open at Tasmania’s Pumphouse Point at Lake St Clair in late July in the first phase of investment that aims to raise the property’s boutique luxury offering.

Bookings have now opened for The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Hobart, for arrivals starting 1 December 2021. The 152-key hotel, located at the redeveloped Parliament Square in the Tasmanian capital, marks the entry of Marriott’s five-star The Luxury Collection brand in Australia. It will be the first luxury hotel in Hobart since the MACq 1 debuted in 2017 on the city’s waterfront.
