The Dorchester

The Dorchester has unveiled additional rooms and suites together with a new butler program, further enhancing the guest experience and marking another milestone in the acclaimed London hotel’s renovation.

Dorchester Collection has promoted its CEO of 15 years, Christopher Cowdray (above), to company President effective 1 July 2023.

The Dorchester will this week unveil an entirely new offering, Cake & Flowers, dedicated to showcasing patisserie and floristry, with its own entrance on the Deanery Street corner of the hotel. The visionaries behind the upcoming Cake & Flowers boutique are The Dorchester’s in-house designer florist Philip Hammond and executive pastry chef Michael Kwan.

The Promenade at London’s iconic The Dorchester is preparing to relaunch in coming months following a complete transformation by designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, with a new, modern British menu overseen by culinary director Martyn Nail.

Dorchester Collection hosted a group of Australian travel advisors last week on an educational staying at the ultra-luxury hotelier’s three properties in the UK: The Dorchester, 45 Park Lane and Coworth Park.

The Dorchester hotel in London has offered a sneak peek of the landmark property’s interior redesign and architectural transformation, under the tutelage of Pierre-Yves Rochon. Enhancements cover the hotel entrance, The Promenade, new Cake & Flowers boutique, along with guest rooms and suites. The Dorchester has also enlisted the Martin Brudnizki Design Studio to redesign the hotel bar.

Redefining the luxury British hotel experience, The Dorchester will reopen its al fresco dining on 12 April, 2021, with the launch of its first-ever rooftop restaurant and bar. The property will also mark the return of The Dorchester Terrace & Garden and The Spring Garden.

As part of its centenary celebrations, British Airways recently hosted an invitation only educational with Dorchester Collection, which was recently voted Best Hotel Group by the prestigious Villegiature Awards.

Dorchester Collection’s iconic British hotel, The Dorchester, appoints 26-year-old Essex-born Tom Booton as head chef of The Grill at The Dorchester.
