The Sound of Music

Austria’s most recognised tourism representative in Australia, the highly esteemed Astrid Gruchmann-Licht, has been back in the country this week to promote the 60th Anniversary of The Sound of Music and the events that will take place in 2025 to celebrate the classic musical.

Astrid Gruchmann-Licht is heading back to Australian shores next month, and the former long-time regional head of Austria National Tourist Board is bringing The Sound of Music with her!

“The hills are alive with the sound of music,” sang Julie Andrews in the 1965 movie The Sound of Music. It appears that much of the world, including such luminaries as the Dubai-based President of Kerzner International (Atlantis and One&Only), are also SoM fans.
