Luxury river cruise operator Uniworld will become a ‘super brand’ of The Travel Corporation, under new owners Apollo, it has been revealed.

Sasha McAlister has been confirmed as the new Marketing Manager for Adventure World, with her appointment marking a “strategic step” for the TTC brand as it continues to expand its travel offering.

Uniworld has chartered two of its river ships to The Travel Corporation sister brand Trafalgar as it expands into river cruising.

The Travel Corporation (TTC) has named Simon Jones as its new Chief Executive Officer, and Melissa DaSilva as Deputy Chief Executive Officer TTC Tour Brands, following DaSilva’s tenure as Interim CEO since October 2024.

With The Travel Corporation CEO Dave Hosking officially retiring on Thursday 31 October, TTC has confirmed changes to its Executive team structure, post consultation and direction from Chairman-elect, Carl Leaver.

The Travel Corporation (TTC) has announced the appointment of Melissa DaSilva as Interim CEO of TTC Tour Brands, effective immediately. The Travel Corporation family of brands recently showcased its Virtuoso partner brands to travel advisors across the luxury travel network. The TTC brands affiliated with Virtuoso include Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, Adventure World, Luxury Gold and Lindblad Expeditions.

The Travel Corporation has confirmed the relaunch of its high-end small group journeys specialist, Luxury Gold. The revival of Luxury Gold follows a COVID pause and is accompanied with new branding built around “The New Golden Age of Travel”.

Global tourism industry visionary, entrepreneur and philanthropist Stanley S. Tollman, founder and chairman of The Travel Corporation (TTC), the highly successful, family-owned, international travel group encompassing more than 40 award-winning brands including Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Contiki Holidays, AAT Kings, Adventure World Travel, Red Carnation Hotels and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, and pioneer of the sustainable travel movement through the not-for-profit TreadRight Foundation, has died in the South of France following a battle with cancer. He was 91.

The Travel Corporation has announced it will be pausing all Australian group touring departures across its portfolio of brands until 1 December 2021. The decision comes in response to continued uncertainty surrounding domestic borders and travel limitations due to COVID-19.
