Vietnam Airlines yesterday launched its first direct flight connecting Hanoi and Milan, making it the first carrier to operate nonstop flights between the two countries.

Vietnam Airlines will commence nonstop flights to Perth from 7 December 2023, with the announcement this week coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Vietnam – Australia diplomatic relations.

Virgin Atlantic has formally joined the global airline alliance, SkyTeam, at a signing ceremony in London.
