Viking has opened registrations for its 2025 regional Australian information sessions, aimed at equipping travel advisors and their clients with information on new Scandinavian, Northern European and Mediterranean itineraries, new to Viking destinations, culturally enriching onshore and onboard enrichment experiences.

Viking has this week rolled out its 2023-2025 Expedition brochure featuring its state-of-the-art expedition vessels Viking Octantis and Viking Polaris. The brochure highlights Viking’s latest expansion into the Arctic region and additional departure dates on popular voyages.

Viking Chairman Torstein Hagen said he believes 2023 will be a “phenomenal year” in terms of sales during an end-of-year address, while referring to 2022 as a “transition year” from the pandemic.

Viking has taken delivery of the company’s second purpose-built expedition ship, Viking Polaris. The delivery ceremony took at Fincantieri’s VARD shipyard in Søviknes, Norway, where Viking’s first expedition ship, Viking Octantis, was delivered in December 2021.

Viking marked its 25th anniversary last Friday, with Chairman Torstein Hagen saying the company has become a “global brand,” while hinting more was yet to come.

Viking continues to mark new milestones for its expedition voyages, as the new purpose-built Viking Octantis kicks off its inaugural season in the Great Lakes. Designed specifically to reach the Great Lakes region, Viking Octantis recently completed a roundtrip through the Welland Canal – a key section of the St. Lawrence Seaway connecting Lake Ontario and Lake Erie – making it the largest passenger vessel ever to transit the canal.
