Virtuoso Symposium

Virtuoso has revealed the destination of its 2026 Symposium as Seoul, South Korea, with the event to take place from 15 to 19 April 2026.

The year has started off strong for Virtuoso, with the luxury travel network’s sales for the first quarter up by 14% on the same period last year.

Virtuoso held its annual Symposium from 13 to 17 May 2025 aboard the privately chartered Crystal Serenity with 375 industry professionals from 38 countries in attendance.

Virtuoso has appointed Brigid McDonnell as General Manager, Middle East & Africa to spearhead efforts of the network’s further expansion within the region. This is the first time that the luxury travel network has appointed a designated GM for the region.

Virtuoso hosted its annual Symposium in Dubai last week with more than 400 of the industry’s top professionals from 37 countries in attendance, including a strong contingent of Virtuosos from Australia.

Virtuoso Chairman and CEO Matthew Upchurch believes the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) technology is an opportunity for travel advisors to strengthen trust with cautious consumers.

Virtuoso kicked off its annual Symposium in Montréal, Canada on Wednesday, bringing together 385 of the industry’s most prestigious professionals from 35 countries.

Virtuoso has brought together key stakeholders from its travel agency members and preferred partners for this week’s 2022 Symposium. Attendees boarded Silversea’s newest vessel, Silver Dawn, for an exclusive pre-inaugural cruise: a five-day roundtrip sailing from Lisbon with two days of exploration in Porto.

Virtuoso Symposium is bound for Canada in 2023 with the annual event confirmed for Montreal. Tourisme Montréal revealed the news it will host next year’s event from 15-21 May 2023.

Recently appointed Virtuoso General Manager for Australia and New Zealand, Fiona Dalton, will lead her first delegation of local travel advisors to this month’s Virtuoso Symposium.

Virtuoso is bolstering its focus on the cruise market, announcing the recruitment of highly-regarded luxury cruise specialist Melissa Araya, and revealing that next year’s annual Symposium will be held aboard Silversea Cruises’ new ship, Silver Dawn, in March 2022.

It’s a case of full steam ahead for luxury travel network Virtuoso which will host its next regional Travel Week showcase in Queensland later this month.
