Rail Europe has introduced new train routes connecting Slovenia to major European cities. Available through its partner solutions RailAPI, RailFlash and RailPortal, the new routes open up Slovenia’s vibrant destinations to partners worldwide, complementing the existing offers on raileurope.com and the Rail Europe app.

There’s a breath of fresh air at Zurich’s Baur au Lac, which would be a traditional capital city hotel except Bern is Switzerland’s capital. Baur au Lac stands proud, however, as the nation’s icon.

Switzerland Tourism has launched a campaign exclusively aimed at women for the first time in the tourism bureau’s history. The ‘Six in the City’ campaign is inspired by the American TV series “Sex and the City” (1998–2004) and two films derived from the hit show.

Zurich’s historic Savoy Baur en Ville hotel will join the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group portfolio in 2024. The hotel, which first opened in 1838, is a landmark property on Paradeplatz, the main square in the city centre.

Even arriving at the sumptuous Dolder Grand makes you feel better: the Mercedes S-Class, lined in soft champagne leather, purrs up, 15 minutes from Zurich’s airport. La Réserve has expanded its collection of boutique luxury hotels with the recent opening of La Réserve Eden au Lac Zurich, Switzerland’s newest five-star hotel. A sister property to La Réserve’s existing hotels in Paris, Ramatuelle and Geneva, the former Eden au Lac hotel originally opened in 1909, but has now been completely revitalised.

With more and more travellers heading over to Switzerland for a white Christmas and plenty of snow action, Switzerland Tourism has put together a list of must-dos to help visitors make the most of their time while not missing out on the country’s top highlights for the season.

SWISS International Air Lines is adding Osaka, Japan and Washington DC, USA to its long-haul route network from March 2020. The new deployments come as the airline prepares to take delivery of two new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, resulting in a shift in its operation and freeing up existing Airbus A330/340 for new options.

Switzerland Tourism’s city campaign focuses on the country’s boutique towns, highlighting certain city experiences that may sometimes not be obvious to visitors. This helps them to feel like a local while exploring the country because it’s not just about taking a peek into the ways of life of the locals but experiencing the cities like one as well.
